Elation is the appropriate reaction to the Cubs’ signing of Greg Maddux.

I’m happy not only that he finally decided to come back to the Cubs, but that I was right about it. I’ve been right about things before, but my prediction is usually for things to go poorly, not well. I am a Cubs fan after all.
